Winter/Spring Work Days 2020/2021

Come sun, rain or snow, the volunteers continued to work to get the railway ready for the 2021 running season.

Five tons of ballast have been spread around the engine shed loop, here you can see the new ballast heading west from the station
Mud, twigs and leaves cleared from the track to the tunnel, and the ditch dug out
Work starts to dig a new cross drain to take water from the pond loop points to the lake
The new cross drain completed on a snowy January day
February saw major floods at the pond loop
Two months later a new outflow ditch, complete with stone pitched base is complete (if a little muddy)
